Lost Connections and Permission Reports
The Ops Manager can download the following two kinds of connectivity reports:
Lost Connections: This report provides a list of drivers who have not captured a trip in the last 30 days, after a history of having captured trips previously. This report allows insurers to better diagnose why trips aren’t being captured. They can question if the drivers just turned off their apps, or did not make trips at all, and take the appropriate course of action to try and get them reconnected. This report contains data for the last 6 months from the current date, and does not depend on the dates selected in the Custom Date Selector.
Permissions: This report provides a list of drivers whose heartbeat has been offline for at least 5 of the last 7 days. The report displays data for the last 7 days from today's date, and not based on the dates selected in the Custom Date Selector. This gives insurers the information they need to get customers reconnected and provide personalized, relevant messaging to re-engage them.
The following screenshot displays the two report options which can be accessed by clicking the REPORT button on the top right-hand corner:

Why are Connectivity Reports Important?
Insurers want to make sure that drivers are capturing trips in order to maximize the value of a telematics program. Having insight into customers who are no longer capturing trips can help them better diagnose why trips aren’t being captured. For example, the drivers might have turned off app permissions. Or, they might have uninstalled the app itself. It could also be that that drivers in question have not taken any trips. Connectivity reports help insurers to determine the appropriate course of action to try and get these drivers reconnected to the program.
